So now I'm stuck, I installed the asus version back and don't know what to do. Of course, the promised "Realtek HD audio manager" is still missing. and that usb 2.0 is back without microphone boost again. After erasing my audio driver I install that driver. I followed some india guy's video in youtube and it leads me to Staiton Drivers website to download seemly latest driver "Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) Version R2.8x (9132.1) WHQL". The driver in device manager shows "Realtek USB Audio" It has the microphone boost option which allowed me to boost my input about 20 to 30db, but it came with new issue: I have horrible echo in steam mic test (mic input capture my headset output) and Realtek audio manager was never installed(not in control panel or program file) - I cannot use audio manager to possibly fix the echo issue. Thanks in advance! I went through the setup program, restarted my pc, but nothing happened. I tired installing them through Realtek's sites, and Asus's sites, but nothing happened. At some point (I can't say exactly when, since I mainly use my headset) my Realtek drivers just disappeared. I bought a Logitech wireless headset and use it mainly, and it works fine since it has it's own drivers. I used to have the drivers on this PC some years ago.
So I can't install Realtek audio drivers, so I can't use speakers on my pc. I know there are plenty of threads similar to this, but despite reading through those, I haven't found a solution to my problem.
